RALFURB gasket system
Draught proofing sash windows is only as good as the time spent on them. Many companies in today's market place are cheap because they complete the work as quickly as possible using the lowest quality components available. You get what you pay for after all.
We have never liked the brush systems that are available for draught proofing sash windows. They are unsightly from the interior view and eventually wear out and become dirty and need replaced. Usually becoming painted over making them redundant.
Our RALFURB system is based on the same draught proofing system that we use in our new double glazed sash windows and door sets. Instead of the sashes sliding against brush piles we insert waterproof neoprene gaskets which eliminate the draughts and stop the sashes from rattling within their casement frames. This allows the sashes to slide up and down easier when opened and they are not visible from the inside. Retaining the windows original character and look.
It takes time to prepare and fit correctly. Although we are not the cheapest in the local market our system will do the job correctly.
